There are plenty of different TV series that use the techniques the super knot and the super knotty rope. The super knot is when there is only one issue in the series that needs to be untied, this could be a risk to the series as each episode has the possibility to get repetitive and the audience would loose interest. An example of this is Pretty Little Liars, all of the series goal was to find out who 'A' was and to me, it got a bit repetitive and boring. However the super knotty rope is where there are a multiple of 'knots'/ problems to be solved throughout the series. An example I have chosen is the series, 'Gossip Girl'. The reason I have picked this is because once all of the characters are introduced, all the problems start and each episode focuses on each individual characters problems and how they're going to solve it and get back to normal. This is a good technique to keep the audience watching and intrigued. An example in 'Gossip Girl' is where one of the episodes during the end scene, Serena admits to 'killing someone' to Blair and then the episode ends, this is a cliffhanger and makes the audience watch the next episode where the episode focuses on that one problem, and when its solved, another problem occurs.
